QAUBAN – Terms of Use
QAUBAN stands for QR Automated Database Network. It is a QR logging system developed by Nexity Technology Corporation in collaboration with the LGU, the LGU Health Department, and Visayan Electric Company, Inc., as a tool for COVID-19 crisis management by to providing a digital solution to the contact tracing efforts of the LGU and entered into a SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE PILOT PROGRAM AGREEMENT to properly enforce the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021 – 091, entitled “Implementation of a more aggressive PDITR + V (Prevent – Detect – Isolate – Treat – Reintegrate + Vaccinate) Strategy and Stronger Contact Tracing Initiatives to contain Highly Transmissible COVID – 19 Variants”.
Applicant will be advised of the status of the registration of their accounts as an Individual Account or as an Establishment. There will be a process of verification for every registration and the account will be activated as soon as the verification process will be completed.
If the status of the registration of the individual account is approved or activated, a pop-up message will appear saying “Your account as individual has been activated”. It will only take seconds for the activation message to appear. Activated accounts of Household Heads can then be used for check-in and check-out in establishments by scanning the establishment QR codes. Activated Household Head accounts can then activate his or her Household Members’ accounts by scanning the Household Members’ QR codes. Activated Household Member accounts can then use the scanner to scan establishment QR codes for check-in and check-out. Establishments can also scan activated QR codes of both individual accounts (Household Head and Household Member).
If the status of the registration of the individual user is not approved or activated, he or she cannot use the in-app QR scanner to scan establishment QR codes and establishments will not be able to read his or her QR code for check-in and check-out.
If the status of the registration of the establishment is activated, a pop-up message will appear saying “Your account as establishment has been activated”. Activated establishment accounts can then use their generated QR code for scanning from individual accounts. Activated establishment accounts can also use the in-app QR scanner to scan individual QR codes for check-in and check-out.
If the status of the registration of the establishment is not approved or activated, the establishment account cannot use the in-app scanner to scan individual QR codes for check-in and check-out. QR codes of inactivated establishment accounts will also not work when scanned using the in-app scanner in individual accounts.
Regardless of the status of the activation or the completion of the registration process, the information placed by the users or the representatives of the establishments in the system shall only be used in the context of the purposes of this Application and shall not be retained, stored, processed, or used in any manner to prosecute offenses by the affiliate government agencies and public utilities, but only for the purpose of determining the location of the person diagnosed positive with the COVID – 19 disease and the persons who may have high susceptibility to transmission, in line with the goal of contact tracing, identification of the mode of exposure to the virus, and implementation of effective quarantine and proper isolation procedures.
